Pillow Fort

This is something me and my roommate (Seiaeka) were thinking about today... 

 

Taking two things into consideration: 

 

1- pillows are almost useless as-is

2- you really don't need a whole tent to sleep in

 

Therefore, I propose A PILLOW FORT! (also known as a blanket fort)

 

Craftable using a number of pillows and a sheet, the pillow fort should provide your character with some level of entertainment while also providing a comfortable and kid-approved place to sleep. Who needs books or 'appropriate' bedding when the world has ended and there's nobody around to judge you for being the kid you really are?

 

The pillow fort, as opposed to a tent, shouldn't help at all against the elements.

XD I'm glad to see people are really open about things on this forum. I know some places that would see flak like woah for a suggstion like this. I'm actually half serious though, pillow forts would be epic and comforting. Also windmills, like the dutch kind. Carpentry Hoooo!

Using pillows to craft some form of bedding would be awesome. Four pillows, a few sheets, bam. You have a nest to sleep in. Add more pillows, and PILLOWFORTKICKASS

This would pair up wonderfully with a kids mod, wouldn't it? What if children got added relief from using things like forts and stuff?

This could actually be a really good feature if you think about it. All you'd have to do is introduce craftable, upgradable sleeping mats. Take a bunch of pillows and sheets and craft them into a basic sleeping mat in case there isn't a bed available to use. Add more pillows and sheets to make an even larger "Pillow Nest" sleeping mat you can sprawl out on or share with other survivors. The more pillows and sheets you add, the bigger and comfier it gets.

 

Would be a great way to add additional sleeping spaces. Especially if you're in a decently sized group of six or more people but you only own one safe house with two beds in it. That way everyone has a sleeping space comfortable enough to ensure somewhat restful sleep. Stealing pillows and sheets from houses would certainly be easier than stealing mattresses to sleep on.

That is probably one of the most hilarious mental images I've ever gotten put in my head.

 

"It's my mattress, GET AWAY!" The crazed man shouts back at the zombies chasing him. Turning his head towards the spiffo doll strapped to his shoulder, he yells "not now, man, can't you see I'm trying to steal this giant waffle?!"
