Is there a server where food and items do not spawn everyday?

I have been looking for a server that is realistic.

Every single once I found just re-spawn's food and items.

You can just walk to the house next door and grab everything you need.

 

I am wondering if there is any server that is realistic enough not to make food out of thin air.

Re-spawning zombies and items and other crap in my book is fine.

But the whole idea of survival collapses once I find a shelf full of chips one hour later in the house that was empty.

 

Please Ready to Cry up in here. :cry:

Keep trying new servers only to find shelves full of food.

 

Is there a server hard enough to make it fun? Or clicking on pixelated figures is all the people want?

well, the amount of food found can depend on a few things such as number of players, number of players in that region, how long the server has been up or how long since last soft reset, mods such as Hydrocraft that add more food items....

 

i have a server you could try, The Treehouse server, it runs the Hydrocraft mod and Extended building as well as New Denver, TWD prison and Bedford Falls maps.

 

but i guarantee you will find plenty of food right now, we have been taking it easy on recruitment and have not had a lot of people looting lately. sometimes life's distractions prevents hype time.

Am I the only one who think that re spawning food is too easy?

What kind of game play is it if you log out in the house that is empty and wake up next day to all the shelves full of food and items?

Please people let me know your thoughts on this matter?

Does any one know or heard of a server that is realistic enough to make survival hard?

Where do I even start to look?

I tried every server on public list and all of them are like "click click click click click run run click click " type.

 

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE someone answer me!!!!!

Is there a real apocalypse out there or is it all turned to "SIMS WITH GUNS?"

My best stories and experiences come from servers where I had to water someone elses plants, split 50/50 with a guy on a can of dog food and survived and actually made whole colony after that.

Looking for berry trees. When did you last get exited about finding a Fishing Rod?  Some little fish + campfire and you re alive. When finding someone's bag in the forest turns into celebration?

 

RE SPAWNING FOOD SUPPLY IS NOT AN ANSWER TO APOCALYPSE.

 

Peeps let me know what you think? Am i the only one? Do I have to go and look for some Russian Hard Core server or something ? Have we gotten so lazy we dont want to look for food anymore?

The problem is, that if you don't have a lot of loot on the server, there won't be much action on it. The reason for this is that new players want loot, and if they don't find any, they will quit the server. So to have a high population server, you need the respawning stuff and zombs.

Yes I understand completely how it work with new spawns.

Its not the Loot re spawning, not the zombies but food......

I can understand going back to a looted house and finding a gun there. Maybe you didn't look good first time, maybe someone left it there since. That could be played out.

Its bags of chips that flood the shelves of the cities.....

new dawn loot respawns are set for every 2 weeks

there is no changing how much food versus guns are set to RESPAWN you can of course change their values on the initial server set up.  Meaning weapons, food and "other" items can be set to extremely rare, like they are on our whitelist server.  Then every 2 weeks loot respawns.  Players are foced to farm and fish for food as well as interact with our admin traders on the server.  Secondly completing the quests we have on our server and turning them into traders results in getting some loot in return as well.
