Pre-Infection mod?

So I was reading the developer's list of ideas that are "Yes" and "No", and I noticed that pre-infection starting times are a no. But when I heard that NPCs are coming soon, I thought that maybe someone could make a mod where the introduction text is changed to something like "You were at home watching TV when an emergency broadcast came on, informing you that the zombie infection has reached Kentucky, it will be days until it hits your town, and that it is advised that you don't panic and stay in your homes." or something like that. With the latest dev notes about NPCs being (planned to be) able to survive after 8 months, i thought that maybe with that level of intelligence, they would most likely riot and raid houses in the first couple days. So if someone could make a mod that removes zombies for the first 3/7 days, it would greatly resemble the chaos of when the outbreak first hits. 'cause waking up with the whole world overrun with no warning whatsoever makes no sense. Do you guys think that would be possible?

Ok, I am not too literate in the land of programming, so correct me if I am wrong, but would a script that changes the zombie spawn rate setting after 3 days work? Pardon the horrible formatting, but I don't write code, but would something like this be doable?

If: Day<Day4, Set ZombieSpawnRate = 0

If: Day=Day4, Set ZombieSpawnRate = 1

I don't speak code, so I have no idea what the actual variables would be, but would something along these lines work?

If it were me I wouldn't bother with completely eliminating zombies for any time period.

When selecting which city to play in it says the population, so have that many npcs spawn at world creation. Give the players the ability to select A% of them alive and healthy, B% alive and infected, C% start as zombies at game setup.

For the suggested "You were at home watching TV when an emergency broadcast came on, informing you that the zombie infection has reached Kentucky, it will be days until it hits your town, and that it is advised that you don't panic and stay in your homes." staring broadcast set it like A=80, B=15, C=5. Then as people die more zombies will raise up.

To ensure your living npcs don't actually win again the zombie horde and ruin your fun of surviving it, have npcs always flee from zombies once they're knocked down to the ground instead of finishing them off.
