Question

Version 29.3, Win7

I don't know if this is a proper bug, but reproducing it is too much work for me. Long story short I was unable to extinguish a fire that was spreading and also unable to stop burning to death with a bucket filled with water in my main inventory. Right clicking doesn't give me any option and before I could even find my trousers in the inventory to take them off I was dead.

Long version: I used the most obvious safe house position on the Muldraugh and Westpoint map Position 10953x9370 cell 36x31 Rel: 153x70. That is the house next to the woods with a tall wooden fence around it. The entry is to the southwest.

After igniting a campfire with a knotted board and a stick I caught fire, which extinguished on its own.I didn't right click on the campfire spot to keep the right distance but had walked up to it manually to then ignite it as described. The fire spread to the left still on that white surface (gravel?) and I wanted to extinguish it with a bucket full of water. That bucket already filled with water was in one of my wooden boxes to the north. Unfortunately no interactive menu showed as I was standing next to the fire with the bucket in my primary inventory. Instead I caught fire once again and burned to death. I didn't walk into or through any fire, although I might have been too close to them.

I don't know if this is a bug or just bad programming, but there should be an easy way to extinguish a fire if there are containers filled with water around and also in the primary inventory like the bucket and the water bottles.

Realistically once a house catches fire a bucket isn't going to work, and if you're on fire, you're not going to be able to get flaming pants off because more than likely the pants has already started fusing to your skin.  As far as the gravel catching fire...that is strange, if a campfire is surrounded by gravel it should be incapable of spreading on its own.
